Centurions Host Morse on Staff Appreciation Night

The lights will be bright at University City High School this Friday, September 19, as the Centurions return home to face the Morse Tigers in a non-conference matchup at 7:00 PM. More than just another game, this one carries special meaning as UCHS celebrates Staff Appreciation Night, recognizing the teachers, coaches, and staff who pour into Centurion students both on and off the field. To add to the spirit, the night’s theme is Red, White, and Blue—fans are encouraged to come decked out in patriotic colors to show their Centurion pride.
On the gridiron, University City enters with confidence at 3-1, powered by one of the most balanced offenses in the section. The Centurions have been clicking both through the air and on the ground, averaging nearly 480 yards of total offense per game. Their ability to spread the ball around has made them tough to contain, and the defense has been just as impressive, forcing turnovers and shutting down drives in key moments.
Morse, at 2-2, comes into the matchup with a physical style of play. The Tigers lean on their run game, led by standout back Superior Garror, who has been a consistent producer and will look to test UCHS’s front line. Limiting big plays on the ground and winning the battle up front will be a key to keeping the Tigers in check.
With the energy of the home crowd, the pride of Staff Appreciation Night, and a Red, White, and Blue theme filling the stands, the Centurions are primed for another exciting Friday night under the lights. Fans can expect a spirited atmosphere as UCHS looks to protect its home turf and honor the staff members who make a difference every day.
