UC Girls Basketball vs Kearny game highlights
The University City Centurions put together a gritty defensive effort on Tuesday night but couldn’t overcome a slow start, falling 41–33 on the road to the Kearny Komets.
UC battled throughout, trimming the deficit multiple times in the second half behind improved ball movement and perimeter pressure. Despite the push, Kearny was able to hold off the Centurions with timely buckets in the fourth quarter.
With the loss, University City moves to 2–5 on the season, while Kearny improves to 2–1.
Head Coach Romie Apostol praised the team’s resolve, noting that the defensive effort kept the Centurions within striking distance.
“We’re growing every game. The effort was there — now it’s about turning that effort into cleaner possessions and better finishes. I like where we’re headed,” the coach said.
The Centurions continue their non-league schedule this week as they look to bounce back and build momentum heading into December play.
